The popularity of record players is not a coincidence. Many album releases are now available on vinyl and many of them also come with a card that has an access number for a digital download of the album. The price is usually just slightly more than buying just the digital copy though online retailers. You end up getting a physical hard copy with art/etc and one that you can load onto your phone or listening device to take anywhere.
