If you have the space there is nothing better than watching a bluray or your favourite sports team in your personal home theater system. 5.1, 7.1 and 9.2 are a few common setups you may be aware of where the 5, 7, and 9 refer to the channels of audio and the .1 or .2 refer to how many subwoofers are in the system.  Another popular option is creating a Dolby Atmos system.

Whatever system you decide on its important to think of properly wiring the room at the preconstruction phase so your theater will be “Future Proofed”.  Running Fibre Optic and Cat6 or higher to any video and audio source is always a smart idea.  Those cables can use baluns which can be used for audio/video/data feeds.  Also running multiple types of cables will really help in case one is damaged or broken.

Choosing the right size screen and a projector that will have enough lumens for your environment are also very important.  Its best to speak with someone who has a theater design background who can give you options and price points for what you are looking for.

Call us at Liquid Sound to book an appointment for a theater demo or for a site visit to determine which system set up is best for you and your room.
